Chemi Peres is one of Israel’s foremost venture capital and innovation pioneers, serving as Managing Partner and cofounder of Pitango Venture Capital, Israel’s leading venture capital group, with a portfolio of some three hundred high-tech start-ups and enterprises with global operations. Mr. Peres, with a wealth of experience, is an integral part of the thriving Israeli innovation scene and a key player on the global entrepreneurial stage. Mr. Peres serves on the boards of directors of various Pitango portfolio companies, including Taboola (NASDAQ:TBLA), Via Transportation, Masterschool, Duda, and more. He also serves on the board of directors of Teva Pharmaceuticals, (NYSE:TEVA), the world’s largest generic drug supplier. Chemi is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, Israel’s leading nonprofit organization, established in 1996 by his late father, Israel’s ninth President and former Prime Minister Shimon Peres. Mr. Peres is active in other nonprofit organizations and impact investment platforms. Mr. Peres holds a BSc in industrial engineering and management and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He served as a pilot in the Israeli Air Force (IAF). Chemi is married to Gila. They have three children (Nadav, Guy, and Yael) and two granddaughters (Tamar and Zohar) and live in Ra’anana, Israel.
Ilan Greenfield is one of Israel’s leading publishers. Since 1982, he has been the owner and CEO of Gefen Publishing House, a privately owned publishing house founded by his parents, Hana Greenfield, z”l, and Murray Greenfield. Ilan served as treasurer of Telem, the Movement for Zionist Fulfilment. He is a licensed tour guide in Israel and is also a founder of the Ein Prat Leadership Academy, on whose board of directors he has served since its founding in 2001. Ilan serves as a Vice President at NewsRael, a unique twenty-four seven Israel news app founded in 2020. Greenfield was chosen by the Algemeiner as one of the Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life, 2022. A marathon runner, Ilan is married to Caryn. They have four children (Yael, Binyamin, Liat, and Maayan) and so far six grandsons (Noam, Shachar, Gilad, Yiftach, Avner, and Hadar) and one granddaughter (Roni) and live in Kfar Adumim, Israel.
