This is the Hebrew edition of Falling Up, Shel Silverstein's 1996 collection of funny, illustrated poems for children. In Hebrew it is called ליפול למעלה, translated by Beni Hendel and Ori Hendel.
Falling Up was Silverstein's third poetry collection, after Where the Sidewalk Ends and A Light in the Attic, and the last one published in his lifetime. It holds more than 150 short, playful poems, each paired with Silverstein's own drawings. The title poem is about a boy who falls up instead of down, and other poems introduce characters such as Allison Beals and her 25 eels.
The Hebrew edition runs to 172 pages and is aimed at children of about 6 to 10, though parents who enjoy reading aloud will have just as much fun. It is a lively way to share rhyme, wordplay and silly ideas in Hebrew.
