Evans opens with a dinner in Jerusalem with Dr. Iddo Netanyahu, who told him about a silver cup in his parents' home, a gift to his brother Yonatan from his godfather John Patterson, a Christian Zionist. Streets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv bear Patterson's name, and many other streets, buildings and forests in Israel are named for Christian Zionists.
