The Hazon Ish (Hebrew)

The Hazon Ish: Halakhist, Believer and Leader of the Haredi Revolution (Hebrew: החזון איש: הפוסק, המאמין ומנהיג המהפכה החרדית) by Benjamin Brown is the first comprehensive study of Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz (1878 to 1953), known as the Hazon Ish, who shaped Haredi Judaism in the Land of Israel after the Holocaust and the founding of the State.

The book follows his life in Lithuania and in the Land of Israel, the foundations of his outlook and faith, his dispute with the Musar movement, his positions on public questions, and his best-known halakhic rulings. Published in Hebrew by Magnes Press in 2011, 972 pages.
